If the river ever dries, we can overflow it with the tears from both of our eyes—
But just like the river, my love is ever present.
It just does.
It exists, and it’s not perfect, but it’s definitely functioning.
Rising and lowering with the tide.
Sweeping away, all while bringing in anew simultaneously just to sweep it away, like a floor that’s never clean.
Rivers don’t talk about it, they just “Do”…..
but I feel like my River will never be enough for you.
I feel like every wind, or every bend might reveal the end.
I feel like I’ll never be the river you expect, just the river I am.
I feel like a river who gives a dam—
With a muffled mouth just to take in more than I receive, but still I overlook the scene but keep the faith that I believe.
I feel like if I don’t move a muscle, you won’t leave.
I feel like life isn’t supposed to rush like this!
-And when I’m heated;I apologize when I gush my fist outward and punch, it’s like this
…entity I once was is trying to resurface, back when I was just a drop from a rain cloud in my emergence
Beginning to find myself prior to refinement
or finding my purpose
It’s not that the pain that resides, deep down inside hurts, it’s that I just go along with life.
I can’t fix me. I wouldn’t expect you to
I’m just trying to stay above water, it’s what I’m used to
So I myself became like the water—like we got fused to.
I’m just trying to survive inside the tide, I know that you are too.
